14 NWSL Players Nominated for EA SPORTS FC 25 Team of the Year

Fourteen NWSL players from nine clubs have been nominated for the EA SPORTS™ FC 25 Team of the Year (TOTY) award. TOTY honors the top men’s and women’s players worldwide, with fans having the opportunity to cast their votes to determine the final XI.

This year’s nominees showcase the extraordinary talent in the NWSL, headlined by Temwa Chawinga (Kansas City Current), the 2024 NWSL MVP and Golden Boot winner, and Barbra Banda (Orlando Pride), the Championship MVP who scored in every playoff round. The iconic Triple Espresso trio—Sophia Smith (Portland Thorns FC), Mallory Swanson (Chicago Red Stars), and Trinity Rodman (Washington Spirit)—also earn well-deserved nominations after leading their clubs to the playoffs and securing Olympic gold for the U.S.

Gotham FC’s Rose Lavelle and goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger join the shortlist, alongside reigning NWSL Champions Marta, Emily Sams, and Anna Moorhouse of the Orlando Pride. NWSL Rookie and of the Year and the first-ever Midfielder of the Year Croix Bethune (Washington Spirit) earns a well-deserved nomination, joined by global icon Asisat Oshoala (Bay FC). Showcasing the league's defensive excellence, Kaleigh Kurtz (North Carolina Courage) and Naomi Girma (San Diego Wave) round out a stellar representation of NWSL talent.

Voting for TOTY is now open and runs through Sunday, January 12th, with winners set to be revealed on Wednesday, January 15th. Cast your vote now at: [LINK]
