Semifinal Recaps

In the first semifinal, Gotham FC edged Angel City FC 1-0 with a decisive goal from Delanie Sheehan early in the second half. Despite Angel City's dominance in possession and earning 14 corner kicks, they couldn't find the back of the net, thanks in part to Gotham’s organized defense and solid goalkeeping from Cassie Miller. Gotham’s defensive prowess, which has been a cornerstone of their campaign, once again proved to be the difference.

In the second semifinal, Kansas City Current continued their unbeaten run with a commanding 2-0 victory over the North Carolina Courage. Temwa Chawinga opened the scoring within two minutes, and Debinha sealed the win with a second goal in the 77th minute. Kansas City’s defense, anchored by key performances from Alana Cook and Ellie Wheeler, held strong, while goalkeeper AD Franch preserved her clean sheet with a standout save late in the match.
