LOS ANGELES (February 18, 2021) – Today Angel City Football Club (ACFC) announced DoorDash as the team’s founding front-of-kit sponsor, marking their entrance into professional soccer. DoorDash’s mid-center position on ACFC kits will be revealed in Summer 2021 along with the team colors, crest, and logoed-merchandise.

“Today marks a major milestone in the evolution of Angel City Football Club as we welcome DoorDash as our founding front-of-kit partner,” said Julie Uhrman, Co-Founder and President of Angel City FC. Through the Angel City Sponsorship Model, DoorDash and ACFC are committed to making an impact off-the-field to address food insecurity in Los Angeles. In fact, in the first year of their multi-year partnership, ACFC and DoorDash are committed to bringing an estimated 250,000 meals to those in need. ACFC and DoorDash have partnered with CARE in their first year to identify local organizations that serve areas of LA in which the critical need for food outpaces the bandwidth of volunteers. Through the CARE Package Relief program and Project DASH, food will be collected, packaged, and brought directly via DoorDash to people in need. “I’ve always loved the ability of sports to connect communities and make a positive impact. We are so proud to be the official sponsor of Angel City FC, a team that is working to build something truly powerful for female athletes globally,” Said Tony Xu, DoorDash CEO and Co-founder.

**Today, DoorDash also launched its “Be an Angel” initiative, inviting LA customers to join the brand in uplifting their community and channeling their hometown pride. On February 18, DoorDash will donate $5 per order placed on the DoorDash platform from a list of participating local women-owned and led restaurants. This donation will be reinvested directly into CARE’s program to support Los Angeles food-serving organizations.

“DoorDash aligns with our mission to make a positive impact across Los Angeles and beyond. We are so moved to see them immediately mobilize our partnership by helping get meals to those across Los Angeles who may otherwise go without. This is just the beginning and I look forward to the impact we will make together in the years to come,” said Uhrman.

*Terms and Conditions: For every order placed on February 18, 2021 on the DoorDash platform from participating local woman-owned restaurants, DoorDash will donate $5, up to a maximum of $15,000, to CARE.
