Delta Air Lines Becomes Official Airline and Travel Partner of the National Women's Soccer League

Atlanta-based global carrier tapped as league’s first-ever airline and travel sponsor

CHICAGO (March 7, 2022) -

The National Women’s Soccer League today welcomed Delta Air Lines, the U.S. global airline leader in safety, innovation, reliability and customer experience, to the league as its official airline and travel partner. As the first-ever airline sponsor of the NWSL, Delta will work with the league to support its athletes through women’s empowerment programs and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.

As the first-ever airline sponsor of the NWSL, Delta will work with the league to support its athletes through women’s empowerment programs and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives. “Delta is a champion for the growth of women’s sport in the U.S. and around the world,” said NWSL Chief Revenue Officer Mitch Poll. “We’re excited to welcome their team to the family and work together as we continue establishing the NWSL as the world’s premier women’s soccer league.” The multi-year partnership will also include various opportunities for fan engagement events in addition to programming surrounding empowerment and DE&I. The opening of the 2022 season is set for Friday, March 18, when group play for the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup begins.
