The Portland Thorns, with its core of Canadian and USWNT talent, is one of the league’s original founding clubs and also, one of its most successful. Playing in Rose City in front of one of soccer’s most passionate crowds, they exited the 2023 NWSL playoffs in the quarterfinals against future champions, NJ/NY Gotham FC.
