Last weekend, the Kansas City Current and defending champions NJ/NY Gotham FC secured the third and fourth playoff spots in the 2024 NWSL playoffs. The Current clinched with a commanding 3-0 win over the Washington Spirit at home with goals from Nichelle Prince, Lo’eau LaBonta, and Temwa Chawinga. Meanwhile, Gotham FC edged out the Utah Royals 1-0, thanks to Yazmeen Ryan’s quick 3rd-minute goal, marking their third consecutive league victory and earning them a playoff berth as they aim to defend their title.

The regular season concludes on Sunday, November 3. As part of the league’s expanded postseason format, eight clubs will qualify for the quarterfinal round taking place the weekend of November 9-10.

The semifinal round kicks off the weekend of November 16-17 ahead of the NWSL Championship on November 23. CBS and Prime Video will each air one quarterfinal match while ESPN/ABC will air the remaining pair of quarterfinal matches. CBS and ESPN/ABC will also each host one semifinal match.
