**NEW YORK (April 3, 2025) -**The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that Kansas City Current forward Temwa Chawinga has been named the Player of the Month, presented by EA SPORTS, for the month of March by the NWSL Media Association and the NWSL’s on-air broadcast talent. 
 
The reigning NWSL MVP and Golden Boot winner, Chawinga continued her scoring ways to open the 2025 regular season, notching goals in each of the Current’s three league matches in March. The forward’s performance extends her scoring streak to eight straight regular season contests, tying her own league record set in 2024.

Appearing in 264 minutes of action in March, the 26-year-old is currently averaging 1.02 goals per match.

Chawinga’s productive month has helped Kansas City, who currently sits in second place in the NWSL standings, to a stellar 3-0-0 start this season.
 
The NWSL Player of the Month, presented by EA SPORTS, is selected by the NWSL Media Association, a collection of writers that cover the league consistently, and the NWSL’s on-air broadcast talent. Awards for the month of March are based on performances during NWSL regular season matches.
