Temwa Chawinga, the league’s Golden Boot leader, scored twice in the final, showcasing the skills that helped her set a new single-season record with 20 goals. Both goals were assisted by Lo’eau LaBonta.

With one week left in the NWSL regular season, both teams have secured their spots in the 2024 NWSL Playoffs, presented by Google Pixel. Kansas City will host their quarterfinal match on November 9 before Gotham FC takes on a to-be-determined opponent on Sunday, November 10.
Fans can watch Kansas City's first postseason match on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+ while Gotham FC's opening playoff match will air live on ABC.
