Washington Spirit forward Mallory Pugh suffered a knee injury at the end of the Sunday night’s game against the Houston Dash and then was not called into U.S. women’s national team training camp when the roster was announced on Tuesday.On Thursday, the Spirit said that Pugh was evaluated by Spirit and U.S. Soccer medical stuff and is undergoing additional evaluations to determine the extent of the injury and her status in upcoming games. The Spirit said that the injury was the reason that she was not called in by the USWNT and that she would not be available for Saturday’s meeting with the Chicago Red Stars.
