The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) today announced the league will live stream the 2020 NWSL College Draft via Facebook and YouTube on Thursday, Jan. 16, from the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Baltimore. The draft will begin at 11 a.m. ET.Fans can watch the draft live by visiting: Facebook.com/NWSL, YouTube.com/NWSL and NWSLsoccer.com Host Marisa Pilla, analyst Lori Lindsey, analyst Jen Cooper, and reporter Jordan Angeli will call the College Draft live from the Baltimore Convention Center, providing fans will the latest news, information, and insight on each selection. They will also be joined on the live stream by the draft picks, NWSL head coaches, and general managers as well as several special guests. Marisa Pilla is a sports broadcaster working in her hometown of Philadelphia. She most recently served as the main sideline reporter for the NWSL on ESPN Game of the Week in 2019. She also worked as a sideline reporter covering MLS on FS1, and for the last four seasons has served as the pregame/postgame show host for the Philadelphia Union. This is Pilla’s third time hosting the NWSL College Draft. Lori Lindsey is a former U.S. women’s national team Player whose professional playing career spanned 13 years. Lori is one of only four players to have played in all three of the U.S. professional women’s soccer leagues. She now works in broadcast calling NWSL, Philadelphia Union and LAFC in MLS, USL games along with and ACC and SEC games. She also travels the globe speaking, raising awareness, and advocating for women’s equality and the LGBTQ community. Jen Cooper is the host of The Mixxed Zone, a weekly women’s soccer podcast hosted by The Beautiful Game Network and has served as color commentator for NWSL stream broadcasts. She was also the editorial director for the NWSL Game of the Week for the last three seasons and has served as an analyst for the NWSL College Draft since 2016. She was a member of the Fox Sports research team for both the 2019 Women’s World Cup and the 2018 World Cup. Jordan Angeli is a former NWSL player who spent two seasons in the league and represented the United States at the U-20 Women’s World Cup. She has been working in broadcasting for six years and has called games for the NWSL, Colorado Rapids in MLS, and USL games along with PAC-12, SEC, WAC, and ACC matches. She is the founder of THE ACL CLUB, helping athletes through the mental and emotional side of ACL recovery, and hosts the weekly podcast “Show Your Scars” in which she interviews athletes about injury recovery. The draft will be held in the Ballroom – Level 400 at the Baltimore Convention Center and will be open to the public and media.
