NWSL Disciplinary Committee Issues One-Game Suspension to Chicago Red Stars Midfielder Bea Franklin

NEW YORK (June 21, 2024) - The National Women’s Soccer League’s Disciplinary Committee has made the following decision regarding an incident involving Chicago Red Stars midfielder Bea Franklin that occurred in the 42nd minute of the team’s June 14 match against the Kansas City Current.

After review of the incident, the Disciplinary Committee found Franklin’s conduct to be in violation of Section 12.4.10, “Major Game Misconduct”, of the League Operations Manual.  

As a result, a one-game suspension has been issued to Franklin, which will be served during the club’s next match on Sunday, June 23 against North Carolina.
