NWSL Independent Review Panel Issues Decision

CHICAGO (July 14, 2021)– The National Women’s Soccer League’s Independent Review Panel has made the following decision after review of a recent incident during OL Reign’s match against Kansas City last Sunday. OL Reign appealed a red card issued to goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi in the 70th minute of the Sunday, July 11th, 2021 match against Kansas City. The club’s appeal was successful after review by the league’s Independent Review Panel determined that Bouhaddi had not denied an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. As a result, all disciplinary actions have been rescinded.
