To continue to spread awareness of the critical messaging surrounding COVID-19, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has joined U.S. Soccer in their “BEND THE CURVE. STAY AT HOME.” campaign. As we bring soccer communities together, the NWSL will help emphasize all guidance from medical experts in this soccer-themed campaign.“Our goal with our “BEND THE CURVE. STAY AT HOME.” campaign is to reinforce to the soccer community that the single most important message to help us get through these challenging times is to make sure people STAY AT HOME to bend, and eventually, flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases,” said U.S. Soccer Chief Medical Officer Dr. George Chiampas. “We are happy to join this initiative with our U.S. Soccer family and help continue to drive this important message. I am deeply appreciative of the entire community of players, coaches, trainers, and staff who have been so vigilant in following the in-place guidelines the League has provided,” said NWSL Commissioner Lisa Baird. To energize the “BEND THE CURVE. STAY AT HOME.” campaign, U.S. Soccer and the NWSL will share graphics and video highlights from memorable goals and free kicks on all of its social media accounts. The Federation will also be partnering with key stakeholders across the soccer community, including current and former U.S. players, to amplify the message and deliver the real meaning to the phrase One Nation. One Team. More details will be released as the campaign develops.
