NWSL Surpasses 1.5 Million in Regular Season Attendance

League on pace to reach two million mark before campaign's end

NEW YORK (September 8, 2024) - With 7,291 on hand for Sunday’s match between the Chicago Red Stars and the Orlando Pride, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has officially surpassed 1.5 million in regular season attendance, marking another historic first for the league.

This latest attendance milestone comes after the league exceeded one million fans in attendance for the third consecutive year during Week 13 of this season – the fastest campaign to achieve the feat – and officially passed its previous attendance record of 1,424,208 during Angel City’s match against the Red Stars last Sunday.

With a current average attendance of nearly 11,500, the NWSL is on track to reach the two million mark before the end of the season.

Following this weekend’s slate of matches, the league enters its final seven weeks of regular season play ahead of the 2024 NWSL Playoffs, presented by Google Pixel, set to kick off the weekend of November 8-10 with an expanded quarterfinal round.
