NWSL to set the Stage for 2025 Season with Championship Rematch at Orlando's Inter&Co Stadium

NEW YORK (January 14, 2025) – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is set to kick off the 2025 season with an epic pre-season showdown between two of the league’s most storied clubs. On Friday, March 7, the 2024 NWSL Shield and Championship Winner, Orlando Pride, will face off against the Washington Spirit in a highly anticipated Challenge Cup Final at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando. The match will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video at 8pm ET.

In its sixth year, the Challenge Cup has become a thrilling curtain-raiser for the new NWSL season, featuring the league’s top two teams battling it out for an early-season trophy. This year’s final is set to be a spectacle between Orlando and Washington that will feature some of the brightest stars in women’s soccer, including Orlando’s captain Marta, widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Zambian star Barbra Banda, Olympic Gold Medalist Trinity Rodman and 2024 rookie sensation Croix Bethune.
