Portland Thorns FC vs. Gotham FC - 10:30 PM ET

How to Watch: CBSSN

Portland Thorns FC and Gotham FC meet for the first time since their dramatic playoff clash last fall, where a stoppage-time strike from Rose Lavelle sealed Gotham’s spot in the semifinals. It was the second straight year Gotham eliminated the Thorns in the postseason—and the 2023 NWSL Champs will look to carry that edge into Tuesday’s midweek showdown.

Gotham enters in good form, led by Golden Boot contender Esther González, who’s coming off back-to-back braces. With a deep cast including the recently returned Midge Purce, Gabi Portilho, and the rookie Lilly Reale, the visitors are firing on all cylinders. Portland, motivated by a tough late-game loss in Week 5, will lean on Sam Coffey’s leadership and the creativity of Olivia Moultrie, who’s just one goal shy of climbing into the club’s top 10. With pride and points on the line, this one’s set to entertain NWSL fans and hold them over until Friday for another full weekend of matches.
