NEW YORK (February 15, 2024) - Six NWSL draftees and players have been named to the U.S. Under-20 Women’s Youth National Team roster ahead of the team's upcoming training camp and matches in Bogotá, Colombia. The U.S. will face off against the Colombia U-20 WNT on Sunday, February 25 and Wednesday, February 28 as they prepare for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, set to kick off in Colombia at the end of August.

Head Coach Tracey Kevins’ roster includes forward Ally Sentnor and defender Savy King, the first two picks in the 2024 NWSL Draft, presented by Ally. Sentnor, the third youngest No. 1 overall pick in league history (selected by Utah Royals FC), earned Third Team All-American, All-ACC First Team and ACC Midfielder of the Year honors at University of North Carolina in 2023, recording a goal or assist in all four of the Tar Heels’ NCAA Tournament matches. The Hanson, Massachusetts native led the U.S. with four goals in the 2023 Concacaf U-20 Championship.

King, her college teammate and Bay FC's first-ever NWSL Draft pick, earned ACC All-Freshman and All-ACC Second Team honors while anchoring a backline that held 20 of its 23 opponents to 10 shots or fewer.

Joining Sentnor and King is Orlando Pride midfielder Ally Lemos, the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NWSL Draft. Lemos, who earned All-Pac-12 honors in both of her two seasons at UCLA, scored a goal for the USWYNT in the Concacaf U-20 Championship.

The 2024 draftees will play alongside Angel City FC defender Gisele Thompson, Kansas City Current midfielder Claire Hutton and North Carolina Courage midfielder Riley Jackson, who all forwent their college eligibility to sign professional contracts last year.

Thompson featured on the U.S. U-17 team at the 2022 World Cup, captained by Jackson, and the bronze medalist U-19 team at the 2023 Pan American Games, captained by Hutton.

The matches against Colombia could be the first U-20 action for Hutton and Jackson.
