What are the tournament dates?

  • Group stage play begins on July 19th with 30 matches to determine the top four teams who will go on to the semifinals.
  • The semifinals will be on August 6th with both matches taking place at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri
  • The final will be on October 25th at Toyota Field in San Antonio, Texas

How does my team advance out of the group stages?

  • After the conclusion of the 30 group match stages across five groups, the four clubs out of the 5 group winners with the most total points will advance to the semifinals.

How can I watch the Summer Cup matches?

  • All matches will stream live on Paramount+ with 11 matches simulcasting on Golazo! And 12 matches simulcasting on CBS Sports Network. TUDN, the sports programming branch of Spanish-language network Univision, will air three group stage matches while NWSL+ will serve as the Spanish-language home for the remaining group stage matches in the U.S.

About Liga MX Femenil: Liga MX Femenil is the women’s professional football league in Mexico that started in 2017 and is represented by 18 clubs. In it’s almost 7 years of history, Liga MX Femenil has achieved audience and attendance records, including the Apertura 2023 second leg final between Tigres UANL vs América, which was the most watched in history with a reach of 3.9 million viewers and the attendance record for a final with 58,156 fans at the América vs. Pachuca match.

Club América

Also known América, Las Áquilas

Lead by Head coach Ángel Villacampa, Club América leads in goals with 131 and average possession with 60.8%. The club was runner up of the 2024 Clausura season. In June, the club brought in goalkeeper Sandra Paños who was most recently at FC Barcelona for the last nine years.

C.D. Guadalajara

Also known as, Chivas, Guadalajara

With the second-lowest xGA of any team (43.64) Chivas looks to grow from their quarterfinalist finish in the 2024 Clausura tournament. Keep an eye on Carolina Jaramillo who lead the league in assists with 25 last season. Head coach Joaquín Moreno Ruiz has been with Chivas since he was a player at age 9 and worked his way into the coaching ranks.

C.F. Monterrey

Also known as: Monterrey, Las Rayadas, Rayadas

The Champions of the 2024 Clausura season with 12 wins led by Head Coach Amelia Valverde. Captain Rebecca Bernal holds down the backline at center back and has been with the club since 2017. Monterrey also signed Katty Martinez in June, LigaMX Femenil’s all-time leading scorer.

Tigres UANL

Also known as: Tigres, Las Amazonas

Head Coach Mila Martínez looks to capitalize after a strong first season with the team who was at the top of the table for both Clausura and Apertura seasons. With six championships under their belt, the UANL Tigres generate a strong attack with Lizbeth Ovalle who scored 23 goals last season.

CF Pachuca

Also known as, Pachuca, Las Tuzas

As a semifinalist in the 2024 Clausura tournament, Pachuca, lead by Óscar Torres look to grow with Charlyn Corral’s goal scoring ways. Corral has had 91 goals in 116 appearances with the club after leaving Atlético Madrid in 2021. Pachuca recently signed Andrea Pereira and Kenti Robles to add to their backline.

Club Tijuana

Also known as: Tijuana, Las Xolas

Head Coach Juan Romo has begun his third season with the club after ending a season without a spot in the playoffs. Tijuana averages possession less than the other five sides from the LigaMX teams in the Summer Cup at 48.6% and have an emphasis on playing vertically as they are ranked 5th in long balls.
