Leading the NWSL contingent, Sophia Smith of the Portland Thorns ranked 4th, just behind three FC Barcelona Femení players–Aitana Bonmatí, Caroline Graham Hansen, and Selma Paralluelo–who led their club to win the Champions League. Smith is one of soccer’s rising superstars and most talented goal scorers, and the ranking further cements that growing reputation. Chicago Red Stars’ Mallory Swanson followed closely in 6th, showcasing remarkable resilience and skill after returning from a devastating injury in 2023. Washington Spirit’s Trinity Rodman clinched 9th, her quick footwork and creativity with a ball quickly establishing her as a fan favorite for soccer fans across the world.
