Utah Royals Forward Ally Sentnor Named July Player of the Month, Presented by EA SPORTS and July Rookie of the Month, Presented by Ally 

2024 No. 1 overall draft pick becomes second player to win the pair of awards in same month 

NEW YORK (August 8, 2024) - The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that Utah Royals forward Ally Sentnor has been named the Player of the Month, presented by EA SPORTS, and Rookie of the Month, presented by Ally for the month of July by the NWSL Media Association and the NWSL’s on-air broadcast talent. 

Sentnor shined on the big stage this month, notching three goals and one assist in four games played during July. Also honored with Rookie of the Month, presented by Ally, the Massachusetts native recorded a goal and an assist in the Royals 5-1 victory over Tijuana on July 31.

The former University of North Carolina Tar Heel appearing in 265 minutes of action throughout the month, Sentnor recorded 14 shots, seven on target adding four tackles won and eight successful dribbles past opponents in July.

Sentnor’s impressive performance this month helped the Royals record two wins during the NWSL x LIGA MX Femenil Summer Cup to win Group A.

The NWSL Player of the Month, presented by EA SPORTS, and NWSL Rookie of the Month, presented by Ally, is selected by the NWSL Media Association, a collection of writers that cover the league on a consistent basis, and the NWSL’s on-air broadcast talent. Awards for the month of July are based off performances in both regular season and NWSL x LIGA MX Femenil Summer Cup matches.
